HOW TO CONSUME STINGING NETTLES: 

  • Drink as a hot or cold tea
  • Add to soups and stews
  • Add to lasagna
  • Turn into pesto
  • Use in recipes that call for spinach

WORDS OF CAUTION:

  • When harvesting stinging nettles, use gardening gloves and wear long pants and sleeves, and closed shoes to avoid being stung.
  • If you’re pregnant, suffer from diabetes, have any underlying health condition, or take prescription medications (ex. blood thinners, diuretics, sedatives, high blood pressure), make sure to speak to you doctor before adding stinging nettles to your diet.
