“Are chocolate, coffee and red wine actually good for us? Reading the news it seems that one day they are helping us live longer, and the next day they are giving us heart attacks. So what’s going on here?”
by SCIENCE VS
“Science Vs peels back the label on GM foods to find out whether they’re safe to eat and what impact they can have on the environment. Both sides of the debate have written impassioned songs, but what does the science say? “

“It’s an epic three-way battle this week — organic vs conventional vs …science. Three out of every four American grocery stores sell organic products, but what are you really getting when you buy them? Better taste? Fewer toxic chemicals? A cleaner environment? “

I’ve selected the following recipes to help you kick-start your journey towards healthy eating. As you’ll notice, most of the recipes are plant-based. This is not because I follow a particular food-belief system. My intention is to simply encourage you to incorporate more whole foods i.e. fruits & veggies into your diet so you can start supplying your body with beneficial plant chemicals and nutrients that keep us nourished & healthy.
I’ve selected the following exercise routines to help you loosen up your sedentary body, lose weight, strengthen the core, as well as relieve pains & aches associated with working at a desk. The Amazing Abs Workout is my absolute favorite! Simply click on the title to be redirected to the video.

If you’ve never read any nutrition/self-care related book, the following list is a great place to start. I’ve read and enjoyed them all!
Psoriasis, Diabetes, Strep, Acne, Gout, Bloating, Gallstones, Adrenal Stress, Fatigue, Fatty Liver, Weight Issues, SIBO & Autoimmune Disease
by Anthony William
I’ve never thought that I could read over 400 pages focusing on just one bodily organ: the liver, and I’m so happy that I did! As a result of reading the book from start to finish, I now understand the inner workings of the liver, one of the most underrated organs in the body. I know now what the liver needs from me and how to take care of it properly so that I can set myself up for a long, ideally disease free life. In addition, I completed the Liver Rescue 3:6:9 cleansing protocol as per the author’s recommendation and I feel excited to keep doing it every 2 months to gradually and safely remove poisons, toxins and other troublemakers that I’ve accumulated over the years. Moreover, I’ve also found this cleanse to be the most down-to-earth, sustainable protocol that I’ve ever done. The author does a great job explaining the WHYs behind his food recommendations, the various stages of the 9-day cleanse and any tips and strategies he offers. As a result, I feel super empowered and grateful for getting my eyes and hands on the book!
by Elson M. Haas, M.D.
I’ve always resonated with the idea of aligning my dietary & lifestyle choices with the seasons, which is exactly what this book focuses on. It gives plenty of practical dietary and cleansing tips so that we can support organs that need our laser focused attention depending on the season, thus enhance our health and well-being overall.
by Dr. Jonn Matsen N.D.
Thanks to this book, I’ve gained a deeper understanding about the inner workings of the digestive system, how we can decrease toxins and increase nutrients in the blood by improving our diet, digestion, absorption and elimination. The book offers great food tips, menu plans and recipes, most of which I’ve tried and enjoyed over the years.
by James Clear
As we say in the Czech Republic: “a habit is an iron shirt.”
James beautifully explains how we develop good and poor habits and how they shape who we are. This, to me, is very empowering because once you know how habits are formed and how to break them, you can start working on becoming the person you dream to be: fit, super productive, an expert in your field……(fill in your blank).
As James puts it:
“Your outcomes are a lagging measure of your habits. Your net worth is a lagging measure of your financial habits. Your weight is a lagging measure of your eating habits. Your knowledge is a lagging habit of your learning habits. Your clutter is a lagging measure of your cleaning habits. YOU GET WHAT YOU REPEAT. “
by Caroline Myss, PH.D.
This book leans into our spirits: the true center of our power, and offers holistic insights to our being, the human energy field, the effects of emotional energy on physical health and how our beliefs and attitudes alter the integrity of our energy system.
by Swami Satyananda Saraswati
“Yoga Nidra, which is derived from the tantras, is a powerful technique in which you learn to relax consciously. In yoga nidra, sleep is not regarded as relaxation. For absolute relaxation you must remain aware. This is yoga nidra, the state of dynamic sleep.”
I came across this book on my travels in India in 2013. Once you read the book and learn about the theory behind this approach to relaxation, you’ll be able to start practicing yoga nidra right away. The book outlines the complete scheme of practices (1-5) that will help you become more calm, balanced and connected with your inner self.
I’m committed to creating easy-to-implement and helpful resources so you can start getting traction in your healthy eating & weight loss efforts, one step at a time.
